Dear Frank,

I wrote you an e-mail a couple of months ago, telling you that I was in the progress of writing my thesis about The X-Files. Well — it is finally done ! It is titled “The Truth Is Not Out There — Postmodern Concepts of Deconstruction and Uncertainty in the US TV Show The X-Files.” It has been a philosophical journey for me and also an exhausting rollercoaster ride since I had to handle the research while working two jobs. Anyway, in case you are interested I attached my Thesis. Don’t worry, I do not expect you to read the whole piece! Neither do I expect you to agree with my approach to the show. I simply want to say thanks to you and the whole crew of The X-Files for creating a unique series that until this day stands out and continues to inspire so many fans around the world. As a scholar of American Studies and Media Studies, this is my way of giving back a little something of what you have done for us and is meant as an expression my appreciation.
