AFI Homage

Hello Frank!

I write this to you as I just got home after 14 hours of shooting and over 2 weeks of heavy stage building of 7 different standing sets at the AFI Soundstage.

We’re just on our first day of filming a 1940s Police Drama and it so happens that me, our screenwriter and the crafty guy, who’s also a screenwriting AFI fellow, are rabid fans of The X-Files and even one of our actors, Bruno Verdoni, was part of the show in the episode “Patient X,” back in the Vancouver days.

So there in our make shift Squad room of the LAPD of 1946, we summoned some creative spirits of some AFI stars and then some other guests, to get the good vibes going… it worked… the first dailies were beautiful.

Hope you enjoy the picture, and hopefully you will be able to see our film some time soon.

Avi

P.S. Our screenwriter is having a baby, if it’s a boy, his middle name will be Fox… cause in his own words, “who would ever mess with him with a name like that???”
