Star Trek: The Next Generation is going HD on Blu Ray this year and I was wondering if The X-Files was shot on film or if it was shot on video like many shows were at the time of The X-Files?

Also would like to thank you for many great episodes of The X-Files and I Want To Believe.

William, The X-Files was shot on 35mm, but the visual effects were completed on video which, as you undoubtedly suspect, presents an issue for a Blu-Ray release because of the lower image resolution.
