I was enormously relieved to learn our X-Phile friends in Chile all survived the terrible earthquake and aftershocks that devastated their beautiful country this past week. So far, more than 800 people have been confirmed dead, and many thousands of others are in desperate need of assistance. Please donate what you can, either at the “Chile Helps Chile” telethon being carried via Grupo The X-Files Chile’s website, or by contributing to the fund at the Banco de Chile website.
Chile
I was deeply saddened to learn of the devastating earthquake that struck Chile early Saturday. My thoughts are with the wonderful Chilean people and especially all our good friends in Grupo The X-Files Chile and at 20th Century Fox in Santiago. I pray for their safety.
X-Files in Folk Art
I have had the good fortune to come across the work of Los Angeles folk artist Ramona Otto, whose works happen to include a piece called “Catfish,” which incorporates a trophy tuna once used as set decoration on — you guessed it — The X-Files. You can check out her work here.

“Night Stalker” on Hulu/IMDb
All ten episodes of Night Stalker are now available for free viewing online here. I hope those of you who never got a chance to see the series during its all-too-brief run will check it out.
Thank You
I’d like to thank all the fans (online and in person) and the amazing team at IBG — Karen, Elizabeth, Caleigh, Patricia and Danielle — for making such a big success of the “Believe Again” event at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel yesterday. I continue to be amazed and impressed by the dedication, intelligence and grace of the X-Files community. I’d also like to thank everyone who participated in Frankenbear’s birth and incredible journey around the globe. He will reside in a place of honor near my desk, where he doubtless will serve as an inspiration for many years to come.
