Hello Frank!

I tried to be rational. I tried to not get overly excited when reading my friends’ Twitter and Facebook statuses about how their XF3 senses are tingling. I tried to keep down my X-Files mentions to my co-workers to just once a day (the norm). But then July 25th happened, and I rewatched XF2. And just like that, I was back to Fangirl Status. And it didn’t help that my husband agreed that it was time for a third X-Files movie, and he even suggested we re-watch the entire series together (*swoon*) so when XF3 is announced I will be back to obsessed-fangirl-status and be able to ramble off random facts about any episode.

And I also wanted to say that EVERY TIME I see Mulder and Scully kiss, my brain can barely comprehend the awesomeness of the moment. Even to this day, I still can’t believe they are allowed to show affection for each other. And I still squee out loud everytime I see them kiss, or hold hands, or look at each other, or say the other’s name, or get take-out, or just exist. How did David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson do that?! They just stand next to each other and I explode. I have no idea how you were able to work with them for such a long period and not freak out everytime you saw them hold hands on camera. You, sir, have mad skills.

The point of this email? I think it’s to suggest to everyone to get excited for XF3, rewatch the entire series, and to not give up. I know it’s been suggested by many fans already, but I’m starting to think that something big is about to be announced. Maybe it’s the “collective unconscious” that Carl Jung talked about, and I’m tapping into all Philes’ psyches around the world and we are all getting excessively excited together.

P.S. Speaking of St. Louis, I noticed in a recent photograph taken of David Duchovny and Chris Carter hanging out together that Chris was wearing a St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball hat. I’m taking that as some sort of “bat-signal” from Chris to me and I’m reporting in. For what, I don’t know, don’t care, all I know is that I’M TOTALLY IN!
