Is It a Sign?

Well Frank, my first week back to work was teaching a grade I have never taught before…… which found me in the library desperately grabbing books for my students to read should they be so inspired.

And what did I find, you ask, as I was pulling novels and special interest books? My attention was drawn to something familiar…..very familiar…..was that? No, it couldn’t be!

Quickly, I pulled it out from where it was nestled between Holes and The Crow Girl…… was it? No! It couldn’t be! An X-Files novel!!!!

It immediately joined the pile of books and now I had my “question of the month” for the students, which will go something like: “One of my favourite things is represented by a book in this classroom.” (Of course, prizes to follow for the lucky student – but I wonder, will my “I Want To Believe” poster be too big of a hint?)

This question, however, can only be followed by a more pressing issue, a more urgent question–was this kismet, and we will be hearing those long awaited for words heralding a green light — finally — for that third movie?

“Destiny. Fate. How to throw a curve ball. The inextricable relationships in our lives that are neither accidental nor somehow in our control….”

Oh Fox! Say it’s so!

With much hope and unending optimism,

Angie
