Trust no one and especially not Google translation!

Skinner’s line “Es heißt, sie wollen mehr Leute an dem Krieg beteiligen” doesn’t translate as “It means more people want to participate in the war” BUT it translates as “It means they want to involve more people in the war.”

There’s a comma missing in your original German text. That’s why Google’s translation is wrong.

Interesting: the German dubbing says (re-translated into English) “Stop! Don’t shoot! This man is American. Unless you want to involve them in the war as well.”

In German there is a difference between “Sie” (you) and “sie” (they, she).

So in the future, don’t ask Google, ask the German philes ;-)
